About this Click Speed Test

Click Speed Test is a free CPS test that measures exactly how many times you can click in a fixed window of time. Pick a duration, hit the big button, and click as fast as your hand allows until the timer hits zero. There is nothing to download, no account to create and no limit on how often you can retry — everything runs right here in your browser, and your scores stay on your own device.

CPS is short for clicks per second. It is the number the whole test comes down to: total clicks divided by the length of the run. A 5-second test with 32 clicks scores 6.40 CPS. Because the score is an average, a longer run is a much harder test of stamina than a short burst, which is why the 1-second, 5-second, 10-second and 30-second modes all feel completely different once you try them.

How the test works

The clock does not start when the page loads — it starts on your very first click, so you never lose time reacting to a countdown. From that moment the timer counts down in tenths of a second while the click counter climbs beside it. The instant the timer reaches zero the test locks itself, the button disappears and the result panel takes its place with your total clicks, your CPS to two decimal places and the rank that score earns.

Tips to click faster

Most people land somewhere between 5 and 7 CPS on their first honest 5-second attempt. Cross 8 and you are genuinely quick; a sustained 10 or more usually means a practised technique rather than raw speed. Run the test a few times, keep the best of your last five attempts, and compare like with like — the same duration, the same mouse and the same hand position.
